Can you work at 14 in Nevada?

In Nevada, you can start most non-farm jobs at 14. Nevada does not require a state work permit. At 14 and 15 you can work up to 3 h on a school day, 18 h in a school week, 40 h in a summer week. 16- and 17-year-olds also have hour limits.

These are the federal FLSA limits. Nevada's own law for 14–15: 8 hours a day and, since AB 215 (effective 2025-10-01), 40 hours a week (it was 48). The US DOL table (as of 2025-07-15) still shows 8-48. Reported exceptions include lifeguards, arcade, stage or theatrical work, and farm work, plus exemptions a school district, school governing body or juvenile court may grant in the child's best interest.   1. AB 215 (2025, Chapter 238, signed June 2025): weekly limit for 14–15-year-olds cut from 48 to 40 hours. High-school students aged 16–19 may not work 11 p.m.–6 a.m. before a school day, with exceptions. Employers must post a child labor abstract. Source
